Job Description

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a reputable law firm with an office in Redlands, California to identify a Civil Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant for an immediate temporary opening. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative legal team and gain hands-on experience supporting busy attorneys in a dynamic litigation environment.

Position Overview

The selected candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to a team of attorneys. The firm is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can quickly adapt and contribute to the team's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to attorneys in civil litigation matters
  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Assist with filing documents in state and federal courts (e-filing experience preferred)
  • Manage case calendars, deadlines, and scheduling
  • Organize and maintain case files and documentation
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed
  • Assist with discovery processes, including document review and organization

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Civil Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant required
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Probate experience is a plus, but not required

Work Environment

  • This is a fully onsite role in the Redlands office
  • Immediate start required
